Once again ISSU played a big part in the 2016 Gilwell Reunion welcoming visitors to the Drop in café decorated by many flags from all over the world.

Thanks go to all ISSU members who helped in any way at the Drop in Café or the Programme Tent

gilwell reunion

As you are all aware, I was invited by Dan Wood to assume the role of Manager, International Scout Active Support Unit. I accepted the appointment and look forward to the challenges this will bring over the coming months and years. I understand that this created a change in the way we structure the ISASU and whilst I have never believed in change for the sake of it, sometimes it is good to take a fresh look at a reasonably successful formula and see if we can bring in new ideas that will help make it even more dynamic and successful than it already was.

Drop in Café

Once again we shall be running a Drop in Cafe , This will not be exclusively an International cafe this year. We shall be running the cafe and Alan Beavis is managing this part of our involvement. It will be based in the Gidney Cabin and it is proposed that we shall have an ISSU reception there at 16.30 on the Saturday evening to give us all the opportunity to network with those who are involved in International work both here and abroad.
